OMARO represents classification, concept-relation, label, and note assertions together with the activities that generated them; named targets, observation assessments and actual observations, criteria, compound expressions, perspectives, applicability scopes, authority mandates, directional evidence, independent review decisions, cultural protocols, use decisions, and governed projection policies. It permits disagreement and contextual validity to remain explicit.
OMARO does not redefine Hornbostel–Sachs or MIMO identifiers and is not a complete material, construction, acoustic, performance, or social-function ontology of musical instruments.
